Terms of Service
These are the terms between you and Pace. By using the site or app at thepen.club, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use Pace.
Not medical advice
Pace is a tracking tool. Nothing in the app, website, or blog is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always talk to your prescriber about dosing, side effects, and any plan changes. Never delay medical care because of something you read or logged here.
Your account
Free tier works without an account. Premium requires an email and payment via Stripe. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old.
Subscriptions & billing
Premium is $9.99/month, billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months, but if something goes wrong email hello@thepen.club and we'll make it right.
Trials, when offered, auto-convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. We'll email you before any charge.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell Pace.
- Don't use Pace to harm others or violate any law.
- Don't upload content you don't have rights to.
Your content
You own everything you enter. You grant Pace the minimum license needed to store and sync your entries on your behalf. We never sell or publish your data. When you delete your account, we delete your content within 30 days (backups age out within 90).
Availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or end features with reasonable notice. Because the free tier is local-first, your data on that tier remains on your device even if Pace goes down.
Warranties & liability
Pace is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to Pace is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which is zero for free users). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Delaware.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and notify Premium members by email at least 14 days ahead of any material change.
